Description
You can find my physiotherapy clinic three minute’s walk from Knightsbridge tube station, Central London, SW3. To make a physiotherapy appointment or for further information please call me on 020 7235 3471.
Our bodies and minds are hugely resourceful. As we navigate through life, physical and emotional challenges are easily accommodated within us. However these accommodations can sometimes remain long after the original stressor has been removed. This can mean that we are low on resources to adapt to further stresses and so pain, injury or limitation can occur.
My role is to explore together with you and to understand why your nervous system has chosen its current movement strategies. And then to create an environment for your nervous system to resolve patterns that no longer serve and expand your pain free movement repertoire.
My physiotherapy and sports injury therapy background mean that I am an expert in human anatomy and movement; from the way we move our backs and limbs to the way we breathe. I am highly skilled in manual therapy (e.g. theraputic massage, joint mobilisation, nerve mobilisation) and in the assessment of posture and movement to prescribe simple, relevant and effective advice and exercise. I will quickly identify the cause of your symptoms and deliver effective treatment to relieve your pain, restore function and aid your recovery. Physiotherapy can be indicated for a wide variety of acute and chronic conditions which include: * Trauma or overuse injuries to muscle, tendon and ligaments * Back pain * Shoulder pain e.g. shoulder impingment, rotator cuff tear * Post-orthopaedic surgery e.g. joint replacement, ligament reconstruction * Fractures * Knee pain * Neurological conditions e.g. Stroke, Parkinsons * Focal dystonia in musicians * Technique specific injuries in musicians, dancers * Sports injuries * Pregnancy related pain e.g. lower back, pelvis, groin * Loss of range of movement, strength or control leading to functional limitation * Arthritis * Hip, pelvis or groin pain * Elbow pain e.g. tennis elbow * Ankle pain * Wrist and hand pain * Neck pain * Headaches * Jaw pain If required referral can be made to a relevant medical specialist (e.g. orthopaedic surgeon, neurologist, rheumatologist) for a medical opinion or if the best treatment falls outside the scope of physiotherapy.Orson Wajih Physiotherapy is located in the London area of London.
